I think these are really fun to read! And it’s a nice change from health/food!
1. When did you first start blogging and why?
Oh gosh! I started blogging in 2004 – I had a random blog were I wrote about my daily life. No pictures and no direction but it was fun! I had a few followers and read a handful of other blogs. I thought the concept was a great way to connect with others! I actually became friends with a blogger that I read! We met and have stayed in touch every since!
I think the blog community is such a strong community! I am so happy to see where blogs have gone since 2004!
2. Have you had any past online presence?
Not really… a personal myspace page, a flickr account, a personal facebook page… but nothing like what it is now!
3. When did you become serious about your blog?
I had serious intentions right when I started! I was a newly stay at home mom and I loved the community feeling of the blog-o-sphere. I looked up to several health food bloggers and I found that I really enjoyed posting about my daily eats. It then turned into my health coaching and the huge community that I have grown! It has been amazing!
4. What was your first blog post?
Your average – HI! I’m Tasha! – post. lol
5. What have been your biggest challenges blogging?
I sometimes have trouble thinking of things to post about. I worry if I go too long without posting I will lose peoples’ interest. But on the other hand I don’t want to post every day just for the sake of posting. So I’m trying to find a good balance there. Another thing that’s been challenging is thinking of a “great” idea randomly like in the middle of the night or when I’m driving, then when I sit down to blog I completely forget what I wanted to say.
6. What is the most rewarding thing about blogging?
Building such an amazing community! Meeting all of you and being able to connect and help so many people! I loving helping others and building my coaching business has been one of my biggest life accomplishments! It truly has been so rewarding!
7. What is the most discouraging thing about blogging?
Sometimes I get discouraged by seeing other blogs with such creative content, amazing photos, or a ton of followers. I feel like I will never be that good, and why would people want to read my blog if there are such better ones out there. But everyone has to start somewhere. And you can’t expect to be the best right away. There will always be at least a few people who can relate and are interested in your content. I just have to remind myself that I do this because I enjoy it, not to be perfect or popular.
8. What is your blogging dirty little secret?
I don’t always eat healthy or clean. There are times where all I eat for dinner is cereal… the non-organic kind. And I do like Oreos dunked in milk. But I feel I can’t post these things since so many people look up to me for weight loss and healthy living advice.
9. What is your current goal as a blogger?
To keep building this amazing community and keep expanding my couching through e-books, conferences and more! My blog is only the tip of the iceberg!
10. Have you learned or become passionate about anything through blogging that caught you by surprise?
My passion for health and nutrition has definitely become much stronger! What was once a dream has become a reality! I am still always looking at the future and finding new ways to help others while satisfying my own creative needs.
