Hi friends!! Happy fall!! I for one am SUPER excited that it is officially fall! Bring on the cozy flannels, cinnamon, pumpkin spice, cooler weather and falling leaves! I would love to know: Are you a fall enthusiast? If so, leave a comment letting me know what your favorite thing is about fall!

Before we jump into the meals, I wanted to share a few little changes happening around here!

1) You’ll be seeing more of me!
I really want to get back into a regular routine of blogging and sharing more often. I miss it! You can expect What I Eat Wednesdays, Sunday wrap-ups where I share little life updates, photos, and what I’ve been up to, plus a designated day each week where I create and share a new recipe with you.
I have some fun recipe ideas planned, and I’m really excited to get back into the kitchen and start creating again!

2) The Clean Eating Mama is going plant-based!
I have always eaten pretty plant-forward, but it has been quite a while since I fully committed to a plant-based lifestyle. I want to change that and get back to eating in a way that makes me feel my best.
Going forward, my recipes will be vegan and plant-based, but they’ll still be the delicious, healthy, approachable recipes I’ve always loved sharing. My hope is that everyone can enjoy them, whether you’re vegan, plant-based, or just looking for something really good to eat!

3) Product reviews are coming back!
I LOVE writing product reviews, so expect to see those back in the rotation! Most of the products I review are things I purchase myself. They aren’t sponsored, and in most cases the company hasn’t sent me anything. I’m just sharing products I’ve found, tried, and genuinely want to tell you about. You can always count on my reviews being honest. If I love something, I’ll tell you. And if I don’t, I’ll tell you that too!

I’m really excited about this next chapter of The Clean Eating Mama. This blog has been part of my life for so many years, and it feels good to put some love back into this little corner of the internet again.

Lets get into my What I Ate Wednesday (9/23/2026).

Today was a very typical day for me. Nothing extravagant or hard! Please note that I do work from home so I do have the luxury to make food at my leisure, but everything you see can be made ahead and taken on the go.

I started my day with coffee and some milk/creamer. I love the Trader Joes oat milk creamer!

Mid morning I made myself the same smoothie that I have been making for the past few weeks. This is my favorite smoothie and its packed full of nutrients! Not the most eye appealing smoothie but it is so good! Also, the photo below is only a portion of my smoothie. It comes out to be around 40+ ounces.

My daily morning smoothie has frozen blueberries + banana + any mixed frozen fruit I have, 12 oz pure coconut water + regular water, vegan protein powder + 1 packet stevia, a tsp of the following: spirulina, barley grass powder, dulse flakes and 1 tablespoon flax seeds, chia seeds and frozen OJ concentrate. I know that sounds and looks like a lot, but everything I add has purpose. Healthy fats and Omega 3’s, fiber, iron, iodine, and antioxidants.

I sip on my smoothie for about an hour or so and it keeps my full for a few hours. Lunch has been later in the day around 2-3, and today I had a chickpea wrap.

I sautéed some canned chickpeas with chopped onion, bell pepper and seasoned with smoked paprika, cumin salt and pepper. I spread it on a wrap and topped it with shredded cabbage mix, avocado and salsa.

I had a mid afternoon pick me up around 4PM. Espresso with a Go Macro bar.

Oh, and all day I sip on water! I am drinking around 100 – 120 ounces per day.

Tonight I worked out for about 90 minutes. 30 minutes of inclined walking and 60 minutes of Tabata cardio + strength training. When I am working out I like to sip on EAA’s and creatine.

After my workout I chopped some potatoes and broccoli and roasted them in the oven. While those were roasting, I sautéed some extra firm tofu in a bit of oil and teriyaki sauce. TIP: Freeze your tofu and then thaw it. The texture is amazing! Its more firm and springy vs. soft.

Once everything was done, I piled it all into a bowl with some ketchup for my potatoes. The perfect dinner!

And there you have it! A normal day of eating for me. I hope this inspires you to eat more plants and to inspire you to try something new!

Hello, and welcome! I’m so glad you’re here.

I started The Clean Eating Mama back in 2008 as a place to share my love of wholesome food and healthy living. Over the years, this little corner of the internet has grown and changed right along with me.

Here you’ll find simple, nourishing recipes, thoughts on clean eating and wellness, and little pieces of my everyday life. In many ways, this blog has become a personal diary of sorts. This is a place where I can share what I’m cooking, what I’m learning, what I’m loving, and where life happens to be taking me.

Healthy living doesn’t have to be perfect or complicated. For me, it’s about making choices that help us feel our best, enjoying good food, and continuing to learn and grow along the way.
