Creating a healthy morning routine is one of the best things you can do for yourself. Not only does it spark your creative juices and starts your productive energy, it also allows you to start your day in an amazing mindset! Depending on your daily schedule, creating a morning routine could mean that you would need to wake up a few extra minutes prior to starting your day.
My routine is all about healthy beginnings!
I wake up before my family does. This allows me to have some wonderful peace and quiet!
- I start off by drinking 3-4 cups of filtered water. This allows my digestion system to start working and for my body to re-hydrate from the night prior. I also make myself a cup of fresh ginger tea.
- I sit down to journal, meditate and pray. Surrounding myself in a spiritual environment has turned my life around! I usually start by praying, reading The Bible and writing my devotions or I read some pages in A Course In Miracles. Or sometimes I will just write my own words. If I need to work out some things that are happening in my life I will do this then.
- I also write down my goals – for the day, for the week, for the month or for the year. It’s so important to have constant visual sight of your goals. A dream will never turn into a goal unless you write it down!
- Task list – This is more detailed than my goals. These are things like: mop floor, go to gym, go to grocery store, etc. I NEED a task list!
Then I start my day! If I still have quiet time, I will start to write blog posts or articles that I am working on, check my email and respond to any that need attention or maybe I will just simply sit in quiet.
