Ginger attack!

DSC04308

This bright green juice looks innocent enough.. but looks can be deceiving!

I call it The Attack of the Ginger juice! YOWZA!

I juiced 2 carrots, a few handfuls of spinach, an apple, a big chunk of ginger and some pineapple. It was good but very acidic! I had to chase it with a huge glass of water. It actually was hurting my poor tummy so I made a pancake to absorb some of the juice.

I used pre-made pancake mix, added some flax meal, cinnamon, a dash of nutmeg and a sprinkle of ginger – tasted like pumpkin! A big dollop of PB, a drizzle of maple syrup and some pecans. Tummy thanked me!

And look what I have been doing:

Aprons are so fun to make!

All that sewing made me a tad hungry so I had a warm bowl of my lentil soup.

Off to clean a bit, sew and get my butt in the shower!

Have a wonderful afternoon!

  1. Love the apron!!Just wanted to tell you that I have a pot of your lentil soup cooking. My house smells AMAZING!! I can't wait to try it!! 🙂 I LOVE all your recipes and you've been such an inspiration to me. I LOVE YOUR BLOG.

  2. Though it was acidic and intense, that juice looks extremely clean and revitalizing. I'm loving the looks of that chaser pancake as well. Also, awesome apron! So cute, chic, and modern.

  3. that apron is so cute! You should look up the aprons that they sell at Anthropologie, it's so beautiful and try to re-create it. I have been liking ginger recently, especially ginger chews and I have been trying to find a good decent healthy crystalized ginger.

  4. That sounds like my dream juice – sorry it hurt your tum!Super cute apron! Do you get your fabrics locally?(In case this links to my old Blogger acct…I can be found elsewhere. Not sure why it's doing that on Blogger blogs)

  5. LOVE that apron!! You have such a wonderful eye and sense of fashion! I knit…scarves. I tried slippers once and they were a disaster :PPancakes > than green juice. But put a big dollop of PB on anything and it's delicious!

Share the love!
