Day 6

I spent a beautiful day with my mom as it was her birthday. We ran a few errands, walked around at the local farmers market and enjoyed each others company. Baby J loved looking at all of the flowers, vegetables and surroundings; he is such a good boy!
Still feeling amazing! I have been enjoying reading my nutrition books and learning new recipes from all of the vegan/raw books and blogs I read. I have to keep myself motivated and surrounded by like people or I will become frustrated and feel “alone”. Marc has also been very supportive through my detox and helps me make the right decisions. Although he feels I am not getting enough nutrients. Rest assure I am. Not only am I taking my pre-natal vitamins still ( I have a huge container still and I don’t want them to go to waste) but I am also taking cod liver oil supplements. Along with all of the nuts and avocado I eat on a daily basis I have plenty of energy to get me through my day with feeling tired or worn out. In fact, I seem to have more energy as I am not consuming and digesting heavy meals right now.

Breakfast:
Mighty Tasty breakfast with a tablespoon of almond butter

Snack:
A brown-rice rice-cake topped with hummus, onion and avocado, 6 black olives and a handful of nuts

Lunch:
Another salad experiment!

  • romaine and baby spinach
  • sliced tomatoes
  • organic garbanzo beans
  • avocado
  • walla walla onions
  • fresh picked basil leaves (2), cut into thin strips
  • salt and pepper

No dressing needed as he basil added so much flavor! I could have added a tad of EVOO and balsamic vinegar but it really is great on it’s own! The basil was from my garden, too 🙂

Dinner:
We went to sushi and I ordered a vegetable roll. Marc and I LOVE sushi! And while he was munching on a Caterpillar roll I was holding and playing with Baby J. The vegetable roll wasn’t that good as the tasty pickled ginger and light soy is off limits… it just didn’t taste right. I think I will hold off on going to sushi until my detox is done.

Snack:
I was still pretty hungry so I ended up having a sliced Fuji apple with almond butter. Carried me trough the evening. 🙂
