Friends. Hello! I hope you have all been well and thriving :hugs:
While some of you may know me from my previous endeavors, others might be meeting me for the first time. Regardless, I extend a warm welcome to all who have found their way to this blog of mine.

Last night, I spent a few hours visiting this place I used to call home. The little blog that I created when my son was just a baby and I was craving connection, a sense of belonging, and a creative outlet for me to curate. Little did I know the impact blogging would have on my life both then and 15+ years later. Not a day goes by that I don’t think about this place, the content I would create, and all the friends I made.
There have been a few times over the years where I started to post and then talked myself out of it. Thoughts like: blogging is dead, clean eating is no longer viewed as a positive, no one is reading, etc.
But what I have come to find out is that I need this blog for myself. A virtual diary of snippets of my life that I can look back and relive again and again. Regardless of how many people read this blog, this blog serves a purpose in my life. Thank you to all how have subscribed to my email list, who have spent any amount of time here, commented, and made a recipe of mine. You mean the absolute world to me!
And as a little reintroduction, I’m Tasha – aka The Clean Eating Mama. I am now 40,, and my son Jordan is now 15. Which means I started this blog when I was 25, and Jordan wasn’t even one yet! When people say that time flies, it truly does. I still live in Washington State and have an amazing career in medical/community health, working in the HR sector. I love my career so much, and I find so much pride and fulfillment working in non-profit medical.
My son and I have adopted two adult dogs over the past few years. Murphy is a black lab/pit mix and Murphy is a shepherd mix. Jordan’s room is the coolest place to hang out in, obviously.

I started this blog when the term “Clean Eating” was very much used and well known. I feel the entire “clean eating” movement has shifted, and I debated whether or not I wanted to keep my blog the same name. I don’t eat 100% clean. Far from it, actually. But for now, the blog name is staying the same. I will still be sharing recipes that focus on whole foods that are nutritious and delicious.
Here is a little snippet of my kitchen from the POV of my little reading table in the corner. It’s one of my favorite spots in the house.

As I wrap up my first blog post in several years, I want to extend a warm hug to all of you, both new faces and faces that have been here before. I am planning on sharing more than just food and recipes. Life updates, books that I am currently reading, workouts/running, products, etc.. So if you want to be notified when I post, be sure to enter your email in the subscription box in the right-hand side bar. You can also follow me on IG.
See you soon, friends!
XOXO – Tasha
