PEACE – A new day!

Hi!

I promise that I will be in a better mind set than I was yesterday. I had a good night sleep and woke up feeling more positive! =) And thanks everyone for the kind comments – it really does help! LOVE YOU!!!

So I am drinking my coffee out of my “peace” coffee cup with some mint chocolate cocoa powder. Mmmm… I thought it was appropriate.

But I found this disappointing – I opened the package with it being only half full. Boo. I hate when packaging companies do this; make the package look big but the contents small.

Yesterday J and I did a little shopping! :Ahem: For groceries 😉

Just some staples: almond milk, J’s milk, honey, tofu, some fruit, kobacha!, yougurt, granola, soup… I also picked up some miso since I have a lot of recipes that call for it that I want to try.

I also picked up some food specifically for PFM as I have been slacking the past few weeks.

We also went to World Market. Marc had mentioned that he wanted to do Chanukah this year and I saw that they had menorah’s the last time I went shopping. I was so excited that he had said this! We have never done Chanukah before – I am in the process of gathering some authentic Jewish recipes to make. I already make a good matzo ball soup but there are so many other dishes to make!

I also picked up these yummy items:

The Hello Kitty snacks are for Marc’s stocking (shhhh), I have always wanted to try Tabouli, we were out of Cholula, I needed some tumeric, chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate (the Lindt sea salt dark chocolate is DEVINE! LOVE the combo!) and some veggie tortilla chips.

I love World Market!

I munched on some Pumpkin Pie yogurt and granola while J ate his dinner:

The taste was AWESOME but I am so used to greek yogurt that I didn’t enjoy the thinness of it. BUT it was still goodness in a bowl!

And then when I was feeling down I sucked it up, grabbed a few clementines and snuggled on the couch with my new reading material.

Oh, and I found Mr. Penguin hiding under the blankets – peek-a-boo!

I hope everyone has a great Friday! And thanks again for all the kind words of support! =)

Just one of those days

😦
It has not been a very good day today. My appetite has been tiny and my mind wondering all over the place.
I drank only 3/4 of my Green Monster this morning: half of an orange, Amazing Meal, 5 baby carrots, 4 frozen strawberries, a cup of blueberries, almond milk and almond butter.

Lunch looked and tasted amazing today but again, I only ended up eating half of my salad.

Fresh Romain and spring mix, topped with a whole tomatoe, fresh basil, a half of an avocado, salt & pepper, EVOO and a sprinkle of feta. It was very refreshing! I had a side of steamed edamame, POM juice and H2O.
Baby J and I had to run some errands at Target today. I really needed to get out of the house! And with it still being in the 80’s it was a beautiful day!

I ended up picking up the latest issue of Runners World.

I cant wait to read it later this evening after Baby J goes down for the night. By no means am I a runner – a very novice one at best. But I do love to learn and though this might shed some light into my new adventure!

And some more treats in the mail – I actually don’t subscribe this Martha Stewart magazine but for some reason I am receiving it.

I just love the pumpkins on the front – welcome Fall! I hope to get some relaxing “me time” in this evening. Go to the gym as this always makes me feel 100% better and some reflective time to read, journal or just be.

Jordan had a very tasty yet messy dinner tonight! Watermelon, a few organic crackers and a slice of whole wheat veggie pizza! Just look at his face! 😀

magazine

I love mail!

I am obsessed with getting the mail on a daily basis. Yes, I hate seeing bills and junk mail but I am pleasantly surprised to see an article in the mail that lights up my day.
Yesterday I was greeted by the newest edition of Cleanly Eating magazine!

This magazine has wonderful recipes and educational articles. And now that it is officially fall there are quite a few recipes with squash as the main ingredient. I just love squash! There is a very delicate spin on cranberry sauce that has pomegranates in it – yum! I might have to try this for Thanksgiving.

I have been feeling a little dehydrated the past few days, too. My hands are puffy and I have not been feeling well. I got out my Nalgene water bottle and filled it up with nice cold ice water. Hopefully I will start to feel better soon – 😦
I have always had a problem with not consuming enough water. It’s a horrible habit.

Seattle has been overly warm for it being the start of the fall season. Yesterday parts of it got up in the 90’s! This is practically unheard of this time of year. I know it wont be long before the rain comes again but I was hoping for some fall-ish weather.
I love wearing my scarves and I have a ton of them! I knit most of mine, too. I should go to the yarn store today and pick out a new fun yarn to add to my collection – not that I need more, though. 😉 I have a very bad habit of buying tons of unnecessary items when I go to craft store. :sigh: Oh well – I call it my “candy fix”! lol
