Daily Affirmations – Day 7

After a long and crazy weekend, most of us just want some quiet time. But here it is, Sunday night, and most of us are getting up early to head back to work which leaves us no time to just sit calmly and quietly.

But as you head back to work or school tomorrow I want you to reflect on this affirmation:

I am in control of my world and my body. I am responsible for myself. I release this unnecessary stress and allow my body and mind to relax into a comfortable state of being. I am calm and relaxed. I have a positive and optimistic mental attitude.

One thing that I like to do when I drive into the office is put my ear buds in and listen to podcasts. I love Stitcher Radio and I listen to happiness and self development podcasts. It really relaxes me and puts my mind in a positive place.

I also try to take some meditation and breathing breaks. I usually say something similar to the affirmation above. I repeat it until I start to feel better. Try it out!

And remember when you start your day tomorrow… be open, stay positive and embrace all that life has given you. You always have the choice to change something you are not happy with!

What are we made out of?

WATER!

Water is essential in our daily lives! It helps detoxify you from the inside out! There is no magical number as to how much water you need on a daily basis. If you eat foods that have natural water content in it, like fresh fruit and vegetables, this also counts as your daily water intake. Also, the more active you are, the more you perspire, the more water you need to drink.

I shoot for 2 liters of water per day! This may seem like a lot but I have found a helpful tool that allows me to monitor my water consumption. I found this idea on Pinterest, of course!

Water refreshes and replenishes me. Water helps me maintain my good health and vibrant skin. I love water. I love drinking water. I drink enough water each day.

Daily Affirmations – Day 5

Affirmations can be long, short, detailed or simple. They are your own unique goals to help release positive flow into your daily life. They can be funny or serious. They are yours to create and mold to your existence at that time.

Sometimes I will write short 4-5 word sentences just to start creating ideas and motion…

I am pretty.
I am loved.
I accept myself.
I have really good taste in shoes.
I make a damn good pot of soup!

I am ready to create my own happiness!

Try to write 25 GOOD things about yourself. Small, big, funny or embarrassing – think about how you feel prior to you writing and then see how you are after. Notice a difference?

Daily Affirmations – Day 4

Good morning to you!

Today I want to tackle New Beginnings. New beginnings are AMAZING! You know why? Because it means you are trying something new and hopefully something positive! It also means that you noticed and realized something in your life was not quite right for you. You are taking the first step to a new you!

Now put away all of that excitement for a brief moment… you could be left with some fear, anxiety and second thoughts. Been there, done that. Believe me, for someone that does not like change I seem to constantly look for change in my life. The reason why is that I know there is more to life than what I am currently being exposed to. I have missing pieces to my puzzle and I am hunting them down! And I also strive to be the best person I can be – both physically and mentally!

Taking the first step in any direction is ALWAYS the hardest. You can feel alone, unsure and the last thing that you want to happen is failing somehow. But let me ask you this: what if you went through life without failing at anything? How do you think you would feel? Failing is one of those Negative Nancy words – a word that we don’t want to hear or one that we don’t want to even think about. But failing is growing, learning and proof that you have taken the risk to start something new. Congratulations! You should be proud of yourself! I know this idea seems a bit off but this just goes to show that when you take a negative word like Failure and think about it positively it starts to not look so scary or bad.

And you know what the best thing about failure is? The chance to start over! You are now stronger and smarter then you were before! Examine the situation, find a solution and start again!

Daily Affirmations – Day 3

How did yesterday go for you? Were you able to fight off some of those negative Monday feelings? If not… That’s OK! Guess what?! You’re NORMAL! We learn, figure out what went wrong and move forward! There is no looking back in this life! Eye on the prize, as they say.

But what if you had a great day?! Take that positive feeling and keep moving forward with it! Don’t stop! Keep the motion going and the vibes flowing!

Self esteem can hinder someone’s ability to move forward and grow. Some of us are more sensitive or have problems letting go of the past. I know I do! What has scared me in the past has left a deep impression and unfortunately I have based my future life around this. This is a big no-no! I am not saying we shouldn’t learn from our own mistakes but we mustn’t think that every situation is the same. Life is forever changing, minute by minute, day by day, year by year.

Life coaching and use of daily affirmations is not a tool to cover these feelings up. It’s about helping shift our mental well-being and awareness to help feel free from these feelings! Writing, reading and saying daily affirmations guides us to start looking past our negative ways and to learn to accept the fact that we all have our individual hang-ups. It’s OK to have these feelings… we are human!

Daily Affirmations – Day 1

Daily affirmations are a powerful tool to use. However for those that read or say affirmations without meaning, affirmations are only words. And that’s OK! Some of you may not be in a positive place to fully grasp the idea… but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t read or write your own. Everyone has a beginning!

What is an affirmation? An affirmation is a positive thought that is practiced to help your mind and soul stay positive, focused and to get those wonderful energies flowing through your body. It can be about anything that fits your present situation! My goal is to provide you a affirmation on a daily basis. You may choose to use my affirmation or you can use this exercise to create your own wonderful affirmation.

There is one essential step: write it down! Put it on a sticky note and post it to your computer, write it in your journal, make a picture and save it to your phone… do what ever it takes for you to be able to read this affirmation when you start to feel a little down or lost. And your affirmation can change throughout the day, too!

This is your affirmation… customize it however you would like!
